Yes, it's understandable.

He still used his platform to preach racism, segregation and old-school hatred. We can see where he came from, but he said some very ugly things over a span of years. Yelling about how interracial marriages are morally wrong is ignorant, racist bullshit regardless of whose mouth it comes out of.
