The reason he has no fan base is because of the way he acted in the build up to the Groves fight.

Both Degale and Groves careers are struggling, massive bouts of inactivitiy will kill the buzz they had.

he needs a fresh start and he can rebuild both as a fighter and a personality.

its all about how your put across. theres plenty of times where you listen to him and like the guy. its all about PR and W*rren is shit at it.

Look at how people looked at Froch pre Jean Pascal.

I agree with the comments re personality. Degale's team massively misjudged their approach to the Groves fight, the trashtalking was embarrassing and excessive and steered almost all of his Joe public fanbase towards Groves. As an Olympic gold medallist and European champ he should be all over the mainstream news but he has alienate all of this support

He needs a new trainer and a new PR team asap

Ol' Fish Eyes hasn't exactly done a lot for Groves either, depending on who's responsible for all the injuries he's been getting.

Both Degale and McDonald acted like pr1cks in the build up to the Groves fight. Mcdonald trying to get in on the wager Degale offered Groves was one of the most cringeworthy things ive seen in my life.
The only way Degale will get boxing fans on his side again is by defeating a big name and right now he is a million miles away.
Like another poster said boxing is a business and Degale isnt attractive enough at the moment.
