Pacquiao will now go on vacation in Israel and France. During that time he’ll decide on who he wants to fight next, and then he’ll meet up with Arum in the middle of July for them to pick out his next opponent, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Arum seems to be leaning in the direction of Cotto or Marquez for Pacquiao to fight next. Arum told the Los Angeles Times “I’ve always been impressed with Cotto by what he brings to the table as a fighter and his large Puerto Rican audience.” I wonder if Arum is also impressed with the money that Cotto helps bring in as well? Arum seems transparent. He obviously wants to bring in the most money possible, and that would likely be a second fight against Cotto. But for that to happen, Pacquiao will have to agree to fight Cotto halfway at 150 pound catchweight because Cotto doesn’t want to drain himself all the way down to 147 lbs in order to make the fight happen. He already turned down a fight against Pacquiao for this last fight because Pacquiao wasn’t willing to fight him at 150. I don’t see anything changing. Pacquiao probably won’t be willing to accommodate Cotto with a catchweight, even though Cotto agreed in the past to fight Pacquiao at a catchweight when Cotto was the WBO welterweight champion. I can't be bothered with any of these.
there must be someone new they can thrown in the mix. My predictions are: Cotto will never beat pac. He wont be able to defend against his attack and his chin isn'tgood enough. I think Bradle will do better in the rematch but only by fighting like he did in the last couple of rounds.Resulting in a boreing fight. Marquez fight I like but i just feel we seen it 3 times. And the 3rd fight wasn't that exciting. I'd be excited if they did it in Mexico!!! |

I would like to see a rejuvenated Cotto get a shot at redemption. Manny seems to have slowed a bit, the fight would be competitive, and the money would be huge.
War Cotto! |

Pacquiao needs to be careful who he chooses here. Marquez will beat him again and possibly retire him if he makes him look bad enough. Cotto has a decent chance again current Pacquiao, so another dangerous one there. His best bet is Bradley again, I think.

Nobody should really give a shit about any of these fights. How about someone else? He beat all these guys already for crissakes. Manny's career at this point needs a fresh injection because Arum is ruining it quick. His refusal to pick a fighter from another promotional company is really old now. I'd like to see him put Manny in with someone who will engage with him, anybody from 140-147. Give him Berto, Mattysee, Maidana, anybody but the same old shit here!
