Probably right LBA. Hopefully Geale can get the stoppage leave it out of the judges hands but I doubt it.

Should have given Soliman a shot for an all Aussie showdown in Melbourne. But no Soliman just wants money they say.

Geale plays the nice guy, which is all good in everyday life, but boxing is boxing.
Green-Tarver undercard: Should have? Why?

Mundine: Was offered a rematch on multiple occasions, Mundine personally knocked it back

Soliman: Got nothing to offer, and damn straight he's after cash, why wouldnt he be?

Nice guy: He is

Geale came to Germany, kicked Sylvester's ass and took his title.

Now I just hope he'll do that again with Sturm.

WAR GEALE

allright lads serious question here what chance does daniel really have ? the bookies have this a fairly close fight but i cant for the life of me understand why, surely the class of fighter sturm is and the fact its in germany should make geale a big under dog ?

And i know geale went to germany and got a decision against sylvester but i think sturm is on a different level skill wise and is allso a much bigger star

Green needed Mundine to gain a profile. So youre saying that Geale needs Green to do the same? Even though he's attempting to unify an IBF and WBA title?

Same? As what?

Thats exactly right. Thats what makes this one of the biggest fights Australia has seen in a long time. And when Geale wins this one, it makes him a legitimate power player.

On an even playing field, Geale would take this fight.

But, heading to Germany to fight Strum, its not an even playing field
and Geale will have to knock him out - which is unlikely.

Strum is idolized in Germany - a cult figure and hero amongst the masses.
Theres massive difference popularity wise between Sylvestor and Strum.

Geale isn't picking up a decision no matter what.

Martin Murray drew with Strum, but that was only after Macklin
got absolutely robbed.

I would expect the judges to go back to thier old ways in this one.

He's a Geale hater and a Mundine and now it appears Green nuthugger. Because Geale is attempting to do what his idols didn't have the guts to do he is butthurt.

It seems that way, but i was simply looking for the reasoning behind the statements. It seems there isnt any, besides what gets overheard and adopted as their own original thought.

True and if I was going to take off my Geale nuthugger goggles and look at this fight objectively I would make Sturm a very firm favourite.

Sturm is class, and a title in germany is a big ask. Thats what makes this a great fight.

unashamed fanboy of Mundine and Green. I like their fighting styles but also the show.

I was pointing out that Geale has no profile, especially with his title, in his own country. And the reasons as to what could have been done to change that.

Boxing is tough work in the gym, but ourside there is a show and PR game to be played. It's Prize Fighting. Dog eat dog. No multi year NRL contracts.

Mundine and Green could have had many fights overseas, but it has to be a 50-50 promo. Not a paycheck under another promo.
