Plus, if you want to go deeper, that post was made before the weigh-ins. After I saw how drained Sonnen looked the day before, I posted that I was "more and more certain" that Chael was going to be embarrassed. And indeed, Chael owned Anderson for the first round, then gassed and got embarrassed.

Of course, it's easy to point fingers and throw shit. I know how to bet on fights and my vcash total is indisputable proof of that. Anyone who can turn $1 into $100 is no mug when it comes to predicting the results of combat sports.

Yeah, well a lot of things can happen in fights Stoo. It isn't a case of only one possible outcome.

I called this one wrong. Sort of. I mean, I called Anderson for the stoppage win from the start, as most did, but I figured he was more likely to win by submission.

Chael looked terribly drawn at the weigh-in and that did affect my prediction, yes. And the way the fight went, he owned Anderson for one round and then looked like he ran out of gas. As fighters in their mid-30s who walk around 40 pounds over their fighting weight and then cut 20 pounds to make weight tend to do.

if he was having trouble with the weight he shouldnt have taken the fight. But I guess his iron will prevented that. being overweight also makes you turn foetal against the cage too
