Lets be honest here, he has been waaaay overhyped for a while and pretty much got exposed as a c level fighter yesterday, he folds under pressure, his weaknesses are everything people say khan has and more. With khan he will still fight back and fight hard in the championship rounds, where as brook put it into reverse and started to run, made a sad face and never really fought back. He has no more gears, he is all flash and no substance imo.

He fucked his own weight up, had to play catch up in fight week and got tired - especially as Jones was one tough mofo and Brook had never had anywhere near such a hard fight, plus the broken nose and blood loss threw him off his game.

That's about it.

He was fine through the 7th until he got clocked hard. Then his legs went and he didn't have the fundamentals down to a standard to keep himself safe. He was walking onto shots, backing up in straight lines...

I wish people wouldn't make excuses for him. Jones had done his homework. Once he got his range and Brook slowed a fraction, he started to step in with his jab and got success.

Yes, you could be right. Not excuses, I'm just offering a bit of context based on what I know. A shot in the seventh didn't cause him to be knackered for the rest of the fight; his gassing was compounded by a breathing problem.

These are reasons, not excuses - but yes, still work to be done, for sure.

Cotto took an uppercut in the 4th from Pacquaio and it effectively finished him. A good shot can do that. Brook declined massively from the 7th on, so I'm not convinced it was his conditioning.

I think there was an element of blowing his load trying to take Jones out as well as the nose going. But it doesn't really explain why he kept walking onto punches.

His main fault is that he's caught too easily even when he isn't knackered. So being tired, compounded by the broken nose (which happened in the 7th), made him less elusive than normal, IMO.

Yes, he did put a lot into trying to shift Jones. Top and bottom of it is it was his hardest fight by miles, it revealed things he needs to work on but he came away with the win.

People are possibly over emphasising the stamina problems that Brook has. Its not great and his close quarters defence was poor but Jones breaking his nose and working to Brooks body played a substantial part in the toughness of the fight.
That's the problem when a fighter is over hyped, he shows some flaws and weaknesses and people are as unrealistically negative as a result as others were previously unrealistically positive. You have too consider that Brook was relatively inexperienced and had never been in a remotely similar position.

Also Jones is a fairly decent fighter. He's improved bucket loads since getting beaten up by Soto Karass.

He was poor people need to admit it he has good boxing skills we know that it's obvious but all the other elements that make you world class as opposed to a British or European level fighter he failed on miserably against an opponent who was tough and fit but far from skilled. No one is saying he is a terrible fighter, just basically not half as good as many people have been claiming

He's also not as bad as some people are now claiming. He didn't sparkle but he didn't 'fail miserably' either...
