Default Tyson Fury: Says beating Price gains him nothing

Fury on fighting David Price:

“I can see it happening, but it is another fight that I’ve got nothing to gain from,” said Fury. “What will I gain from beating him? Nothing"

****ing brain dead coward, just keep fighting bums until the Klitschko pay day comes along.

if Fury and Price fought 100 times Price would win every time

Fury doesnt need to fight Price now, however beating him would prove to be a major scalp, far better than anything he's done thus far.

Much as this is a fight that I'd like to see, I have to agree with with Fury. Boxing is Fury's living and if placed on the scales of risk vs reward, a fight with Price comes down firmly on the side of risk. If I were in Tyson's position, I'd be looking for a lucrative fight against a beatable prestigious opponent rather than a dangerous fight against a talented prospect.

this to me highlights everything that is wrong with boxing in the modern era.

no risk takers, no willingness to take the best & toughest fights out there & nothing good for the fans to look forward to.

They should dominate together when the Klits go rather than face each other for the good of Britain. I don't want to see one of our boys lose.

From a fan's perspective I couldn't agree more, that's why I admire Froch so much. If it were my career though, I'd have a different take on it. It's partly the fan's fault for placing such an emphasis on an unbeaten record that prevents the best from fighting each other. Fury is the product of such a system rather than the cause.

Andy Murray HAS to face the best to win a title.

Jessica Ennis HAS to face the best to win a title.

Ronnie O'Sullivan HAS to face the best to win a title.

I can go on and on, boxing is the only sport where you can avoid the best and be champ.

Unless you're Martin Adams........

Actually, would Price be the first guy Fury would face who is of equal size?
