Default Carl Froch vs Joe Calzaghe (12thJuly2012)

they are both on ringside this thursday (12th July 2012)
Calzaghe will announce his comeback with a warm up fight while Froch takes care of Bute for a second time.
If they both win then we get the biggest fight the UK has seen for years

CALZAGHE vs FROCH

not a freakshow like Haye-Chisadora

i like living in DREAMLAND

This will be very interesting, hope they have them sitting side by side, giving them the oppurtu ities to puff out their chests, and await Adam smith to pose the all to familiar question, who would have won if you two squared off.

Froch would beat up Joe, he's been out the ring for too long.

Joe would embarass Carl Froch, Froch is a very good fighter, but this is the same man who struggled with jermain taylor and Andre Dirrell. Zaghe would mop the floor with him before drowning him and taking his heart in the 9th round, he knows deep down and admires his rival dearly. His body language will account as such on the ringside set.

Both of whom are as good as any fighter Calzaghe ever faced.

At hate to get involved in this debate again but...

It's a shame that Matchroom haven't made Joe a serious offer either to fight Froch or to make a comeback. I'm talking about a purse, TV date, venue, opponent etc.

Joe was receiving $10 million dollar pay days against the likes of BHOP and JR why go out of a comfortble retirment for less money than hearn and co can guarantee. If anythin g he should recieve a higher purse then the last two fights.

Calzaghe's big problem if he came back is that natural athleticism he once had may be gone. Calzaghe was that type of fighter that could have fought 24 rounds let alone 12, if he doesn't have that engine anymore he'd get stopped. If he does still have it he'd make it a very exciting scrap, I could see him nicking a points victory.
