James Toney Better than Mayweather on the Inside?

FMJ is marvelous at defending but I feel JT has a much more varied countering offense as well as having about the same level of defense as FMJ.

Floyd got the better defense. JT has a better arsenal of counter punching.

I think Floyd is the better fighter though.

I know the thread title is actually referring to infighting, but it's much funnier to read it with a different sense of "on the inside".

Like James Toney is a better human being, more likely to climb his fat ass up a tree to rescue a kitten.

James Toney the more talented fighter all round bar speed, shame he doesnt have the same work ethic as Mayweather really.

I do favour Toney on the inside because he is more comfortable counter punching on the inside for a duration and being effective.

Mayweather = better laying against the ropes with opponents pressing in on him.
Toney = better in the center of the ring with opponents standing in front of him.

Thats a huge debate, but one for the lounge and one I'm not particularly interested in.

jt fought bigger/slower guys that were easier to look good against. floyd is doing it against much better opposition imo.

Hes perhaps one of the most talented all round boxers ever, but the work ethic just was not there
