That trash can't knock out Floyd's spit bucket...he'll be lucky to make past the warm up fights.

What was the point of the RJJ interview? Was it His criticism of commentators writing off fighters?

I liked the RJJ interview. If you listen carefully he hints at some of the things which are wrong with boxing, and yes that also.

Honestly, Khan should see his own limitations, his chin wont change and the higher he goes in weight the tougher it gets.
He has two options imo, 1 is to stick to fighting styles that suit him and collect millions over the next few years then go out on time and live wealthy after that.
2 is to change his style and have a go for it, he still needs to avoid heavy handed guys with some skill.
He wont be an atg, hof at the very best if everything goes extremely well, but it might be better to focus on the money and health and get out on time.
Thats from his perspective of course, as a fan I wish he faces the best.

He acknowledges that things go downhill for him when he gets overconfident but still does it in the pro's lol

Mayweather Sr: What Amir Khan is learning from Freddie Roach is a joke

Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. feels that former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-3, 18 KOís) is wasting his time with trainer Freddie Roach, and would be better off dumping him and going with with someone else for the job. Mayweather Sr. says heíd take over the training if Khan is interested.

Speaking with ***************.com, Mayweather Sr said ď[Khan] needs a changeÖbecause what he he is doing right now. itís a joke. An thatís because Freddie Roach is in control.Ē

Khan has lost his last two fights, and heís been knocked already twice as a pro. Khan left a previous trainer after getting knocked out in the 1st round by Breidis Prescott in 2008. Khan signed on Roach hoping it would turn his career around. It did for a while, although Khan really didnít beat anyone particularly dangerous with the exception of Marcos Maidana in 2010, and there are a lot of boxing fans who felt that Khan would have been knocked out in that fight if it werenít for the referee breaking the action when Khan was getting pummeled in the 10th.

Mayweather Sr continued ďI could help himÖif he wants to learn how to fight, learn defense, come see me. One call thatís all.Ē

Itís doubtful that Khan will make that call, however. Khan still hasnít dumped Roach, and it could be that heíll stick it out with Roach to see if things improve any. Itís easy to see why Khan might want to stay with Roach. His wildcard gym in Los Angeles is packed with popular fighters and celebrities, and Khan gets to spar with some of the top fighters in the game by being there. However, something isnít working with the Khan-Roach team, whether that be Khan failing to follow Roachís instructions during fights or Khan not being given the training know how that he needs. Who knows? Perhaps Khan has been taught the right things by Roach in how to defense himself, but heís not able to apply it in his fights.

It would be interesting to see how Mayweather Sr and Khan would work out. I canít see Khan being able to learn to defend himself enough to keep from getting knocked out again. Can you imagine seeing Khan use the shoulder roll? I can see a right hand sailing over that shoulder and landing clean to Khanís head every time.

It might be too late in the game for Khan to learn from Mayweather Sr. Fighters need to start early with a trainer to grasp the things theyíre to teach them. If you look at Khanís fighting style, he looks like the same fighter he was when he first started training with Roach. Itís almost as if Khan hasnít changed any part of his game even after three years with Roach.

He should become a slick boxer and avenge all his losses- Prescott, Peterson, Garcia. Should he fail to defeat any of them he should retire.

After he has beaten them all, he should then reevaluate his career from there.
