Default IBF North American Middleweight Champion?

So let me get this straight when Mundine fought Mckart they were fighting for the IBF North American Middleweight Championship.
Did Mckart beat anyone to get this championship and how can Mundine fight for it since he's not from North America.

Did they really just make up a title for this fight. Dosen't this sport already have enough belts and fake championships. Wasn't Mckart ranked 65th or something so how was he the North American Champion?

No bro, you ever hear of anyone not being able to fight for a Pan-Pac belt because there's no such country as "Pan-Pac"?

My point being you don't have to be born in North America to fight for a North American title

I can understand fighting for a regional IBF title to create pathway (or pay dues) to IBF 154lb title. However no idea how an Australian can fight for a North American title.

Maybe you don't have to be from North America to fight for the North American title but I think the main point is Mckart was never the North American Champion so how can Mundine win the title by beating him.Plenty of American fighters are ranked higher than Mckart so how can he be the champion. I never heard Mckart being refered to as the 'North American Champion'. No need to call me 'bro' either i'm not from West Sydney or New Zealand.

Title was vacant & it's nothing more than Promoters' title.

So its pretty much what i thought, a made up title. It means even less than the 3 fake 'world' championship titles that Mundine 'won'.
