Amir is back to blaming others for his loss, Didn't he ditch the trainer he had for only one fight after the prescott hammering??

Considering Khan cannot fight on the inside, you'd think he wouldve
had the smarts to keep away from a brawl, not Amir.

He has quick hands, thats about it.

I think he should hang them up, he's very chinny with no defence.

thats quite a premature thing to say imo. It isnt like he cant improve his defense and become a world champ again

I think Garcia's Dads quote about never having seen a ****stani that could fight got Khan too pumped up and angry, He could have out boxed him very very easily but he just went in there with the sole purpose of trying to destroy Garcia and make a point, it back fired on him.
spot on m8, Garcias dad got into Khans head, Khan was winning that fight with his eyes closed and imo Garcias dad is a complete fruit loop. Khan needs to piss Roach off, he was usless that night and gave him the wrong advice, telling him to tie him up. He needed to keep the fck away and use his distance, not stay in close going toe to toe like that. I thought it was an awsome fight, one of the best ive seen in a long time and Khan has a HUGE heart to get up from that shot.

As for the person who said it was a rookie mistake, it was a blind shot, anyone would have been hit with it, when ur throwing that combo your open to a blind shot. You know like that blind spot in your mirror lol

would love to see a rematch, i think Khan would own him 2nd time round. Best ive seen Khan fight in a long time so perhaps roach isnt doing to bad, just not good with the corner advice imo. should have told him to get back on the jab, especially when he was hurt like that, and as much as im against slapping in the corner, khan needed a slap or two to wake him back up, he was clearly still shaken, at the very least, grab his legs and shake them a bit as they were clearly gone and he never really regained them again.

The shot Garcia caught Khan with was actually very similar to the one that Bredis Prescott put him down with, both times Khan lept in and got caught with counters before he could get his hands back

I think against Garcia he got overconfident because he was landing a lot, and Garcia was bruising up and cut

People criticise Wlad a lot because of his caution but he gets it spot on when it comes to protecting his chin, if Wlad had an oppenent looking like that he would have remained cautious, single shots and jabs from the outside for 4 or 5 rounds, wait till an eye closes or something the shoulders sag and the old bottom lip starts hanging out, and start hitting them on the blindside with the straight right until they fall over or quit

I actually thought before that hook landed that they would be pulling Garcia out after a few more rounds of that, because he did not look happy in the corner no matter what people say about it "all going to plan"

Khan is a physical marvel...but he just doesn't have well rounded skills.

They decided to go down the boxer-puncher path of plenty of training for speed, power and explosiveness... exhausting every exercise in the plyometric handbook. But at the expense of really learning his craft.

Garcia didn't get lucky there...he exposed a glaring flaw in Khan's ability to integrate his offense and defense.

Maidana, Prescott, Gomez, Peterson all found the flaw aswell but sometimes he got away with it..obviously against Prescott he dadn't.

But Amir is so amazingly gifted athletically that he can and will come back from this..he just won't quite ever fullfill that potential.

Amir has all the talent in the world but he can't stick to a game plan, sadly he will always go balls out if wound up enough , he is young and needs to concentrate on what HE does best imo mate . what makes me laugh about this whole situation is the same guys who say they would have respected Calzaghe more if he'd had a loss are the same clowns slating Khan with their PMSL/retire threads shows just how full of shit they really are .

Can anyone see similarities between Wlad Klitschko and Khan. Earlier in Wlad career he was much much more offensive minded but his chin failed him on 3 occasions but since changing trainers and his style of fighting he has become invincible. Maybe Khan should accept his limitations, change camps and re-group.

Khan's not finished not by a long shot............needs to tighten up his defensive guard & he'l become champion again.......needs to **** the quietly egotistical Roach, who I reckon is reliving his fighting career thru fighters like Khan & Pac......don't like him at all.....I think Frances made a good example of similarities between young Khan & the legend Tommy Hearns.....both can take you out & be taken out........one man who knows how to change a fighter like this is Steward.....it would probably feel like a flashback in time for manny Steward watching Khan get KO'd.....he would be perfect for Amir.

What about someone like Adam Booth training for Khan ? He always seems calm in the corner. What do you guys think ?

Adam Booth also has a "signature style" that works for Haye and Groves, because they both have good movement, speed and here is the deal breaker...legit ko power

Amir does not have the power to make that style a success imo, raiding tactics like Haye and Groves use are risky, what tips the balance in their favour is that brutal ko power that intimidates fighters. you seen it with chisora this weekend, around round 2 he gets hit with the same combo that put ruiz down, he stays up but for the rest of the fight he wasn't the same imo, his pressure was just bluster. When he does open up on Haye he ends up on the canvas.

Amir can't rock that style, he doesn't have that ace in the hole.

in my opinion he needs a defensive trainer, Steward or Richardson would be good choices, with steward the number 1 option
