That was 20 years later. Thats a little different than Sadler jumping to Ali`s camp right after the fight in Zaire. Like I said before it looks bad.

Im not saying I know the fight was fixed. Just the combination of the way Foreman fought and Sadler bouncing that it had crossed my mind. Also George Foreman has put out over the years many excuses/accusations.

It was all Belinda Khalilah Ali's fault.

She called George Foreman, and told him to 'kill' her two-timing unfaithful husband.

George then changed his 'fight plan' for Belinda.

And instead of going out to win the fight, he was trying to kill Ali, in an effort to make Belinda happy.

Interesting.
I wonder why he was so defensive about it.
I'd like to read what he said.

In fact,I'd say that a lot of these 'conspiracy' or 'fix' theorists probably insist, till they're blue in the face, that the Earth is flat.

"Conspiracy" simply means two or more people collaborating on a shared goal. It happens hundreds of millions of times every day.

If you have ever planned anything with anyone, you were conspiring. You engaged in conspiracy.

Why is a person crazy who thinks Ali, Dundee and Sadler may have collaborated in ensuring Ali won that fight.

It would have been very easy to pull off and the stakes were high.

The downside of getting caught was almost nil. If they had been caught in any part of it, they could simply deny it and say their accuser was nuts.

maybe its to do with the fact that its utter bollocks.

Im starting to doubt if Ali ever had a bonafide championship win cos apparently liston took a dive, everyone conspired to cheat george, judges were in clay/alis pocket v Frazier2, Norton3, shavers, cooper, young.....i mean, thats 9 title fights he shouldnt have won and thats before the likes of Jones, Banks ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

Im going for a diazepam here cos the lunatics on this board have me demented

The bout with Jean-Pierre Coopman was legitimate, but CBS-TV was trying to bamboozle the public.

The George Foreman fight was on the up-and-up.

Big George just fought a 'dumb fight', thats all.

u just post dumb posts .

keep ignoring all d facts in that article BillyB provided in his opening post .
Those facts had nothing 2 do with d Foreman fight .
Loose ropes ? don't matter .
Fast count ? whatever .
Ali fouls ? who cares ?
Saddler fired by Foreman and miracleously appears in Ali's corner right after ? coincidence .
Foreman being drained by Saddler's advice ? well , maybe that was Archie Wright's fault as well .
Foreman complains about d taste of what Saddler gave him 2 drink ? That was because Foreman had a bad day at d office .
People who've seen d fight comment on Foreman's looking drugged/not sharp ? that was because of d heat ?
It was n extremely hot day ? same was in San Juan , which Foreman lost as well , just by coincidence of course .
Foreman never got a rematch ? a man whom does not hire Sandy Saddler as a trainer does not deserve a shot in 1st place !
_________ and besides , he didn't deserve it , because beating Lyle and Frazier again worth nothing .
....
....

....
....
??

....
....

....
....
.

nothing had 2 do with anything . All known facts were coincidental .
What a surprisingly massive combination of coincidences , isn't it ?

well , that happens . The universe exists for long enough for such coincidences to be plausible statistically .

George Foreman only had a bad day at d office and fought a dumb fight . Ali would have won anyway .
BTW . Did d Zairean government really did not allow 4man 2 leave Zaire ? couldn't such a thing lead 2 a diplomatic incident ?

keep posting about d great Angel Espadas and Jean Piet Coopmans/Bergmans/whatever their names were , u do know more about them .

Does anyone know anything much about Dick Saddler and if he was known to be crooked ?

He seems to be an interesting character and pivotal in this story of Foreman being doped.

Here are some audio clips of Foreman talking about Saddler and Zaire.

1. He talks about a post-fight phone conversation he had with Ali about a rematch. He says Ali insisted he use Saddler or no fight.

2. He talks about the water.

3. He says that when Ali knocked him down he started to get up. Saddler yelled "Wait, wait. You're always supposed to look to your corner".

George fought a fairly shit fight no one argues there, Ali got into his head which involved many factors that ali was more aware of. The heat and adapting to the fight in such a way to incite george to do what was not in his best interests is what make this a classic fight.

Interesting stuff.

"As a matter fact, you travel with these guys and they tell you about the old days and what was done and this and what was done and that, who threw a boxing match."

"But I didn't realize that, they were tellin-I thought they were just telling me old stories. They didn't, they weren't--I didn't know they were describing themselves."
