Default Zora Folley

What do people think of Zora, I dont know to much about him but am intrigued to hear what people thought, from what i know he had a good defence and a good right hand to go with it.

A very good technical fighter and one of the better guys that should have got a title shot but didn't during Patterson's reign.

Nothing flashy but got the job done...he could be a surgeon at times with the jab/right hand. Ali gave him a lot of credit.

One of the best right hands at heavyweight and very clever with the use of it.

Folley's greatest short-comings were his lack of durability and stationary footwork. Against an aggressive opponent who was willing to walk through his potent right hand, Folley was forced into more punching exchanges than he was comfortable with.

Even if you were able to take away his right hand, you still had to compete with his point-scoring left jab. The best way to beat him was to take him out.

A fight that probably best describes Folley's strengths and his weaknesses:

Nice post GreatA. Zora Folley was an A level fighter. A terrific technician with some good tools. I always thought of Folley as real slick. He is a dangerous contender for a heavyweight champion in any era. Should have gotten a title shot against Patterson. Ran into a peaking Liston, nothing you can do about that!
