Your brain develops until the day you die, when you're younger it just recovers from damage more easily.

I'm 25, started last year when I was 24. I'm in really good shape, but can be in better shape. I believe if I want to I can fight until about 40 years old. That gives me 15 years of getting punched in the head which in my opinion is more then enough. Will I ever be an all-time great fighter? hell no. Will I become a world champion? probably not. Will I become a formidable pro who is a tough outing? I believe I can. We got a 46 year old man who spars with us all the time, this dude can throw down. You figure if you start at 25 or 26 and have 20 years of experience you can become fairly decent at the least.

By the way I have 4 bouts, I am 3-1

Really, "starting late" is like the football players who switch to boxing at like 26 or 27. I started at 20, btw.

lol i started at 26 nd after a year or so was sparring guys that train 4,7 and even 10 years not beeing completly destroyed and im just a hard worker not much talent involved (they could beat me up its obvious but i was able to trade some punches and wasnt running scared)

ofc i wont go to the olympics, now im 28 but when i reach lets say 35 i will be pretty ****ing good fo sure

artur szpilka won nationals after 2 years of training

hard work thats all u need oh and a good trainer- this might cost some $$$ though

I'm 22 and just started last week. Anyone thinking about training should just go, don't worry about age/experience etc.

Started at 28, skipped amatuers and went straight for white collar boxing, now signed for EBU...These lads that started at 8 and have been boxing for 20 years have forgotten more than ill ever known, but what i lack in knowledge i make up for in desire NOT to lose.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up. I'm not familiar with EBF either way, so I wasn't trying to sound like an arse.
