I really want to pick Norris in this fight. I actually think he would hold his own, and even be ahead on the cards. But tito will stalk him relentlessly, and not him allow to let his guard down at all....in the middle of the 8th Tito catches him and finnishes him before the round can end...
I might take Terry in a rematch type situation, but in a one fight deal I would pick Tito. |

Norris would get Ko'ed at some point most likely. He has a decent chance of outpointing and Ko'ing Tito, but I think he'd get knocked out himself before he was capable of doing so.
Tito would have utterly demolished a post 95 Norris. |

Norris would be tentative all fight, and there is some point I have to believe that Norris gets clipped and either gets dropped, stopped, or goes into survival mode for the rest of the fight. He flurried a bit too much on the inside and it got sloppy at times.
Where Trinidad was more of a sharpshooter and only looked to land 1 or 2 during exchanges, which were often night enders. trinidad either way. |

Trinidad gets up off the canvas in round 2 and stops Terry who gets too agressive trying to finish.
Both of these fighters could be hurt and dropped but I think Tito had better recovery and better stamina. He could regain his legs better than Norris. Tito was actually the bigger guy in this one. |

Norris, after only Hearns and maybe McCallum is the greatest 154 fighter of all time imo
As good as Trinidad was he was a street fighter with gloves. If a guy showed him so skills/movement he couldn't cope. De La Hoya, Hopkins and Jones come to mind. Now Norris was no Hopkins or Jones Jr but he was a good mover, slick, fast and strong. The only thing that is iffy about this fight is that they both have questionable jaws and explosive power. Either could get KO'd but my money would be on Terrible Terry. |

Don't forget Jackson in those shouts... And for that matter, Tito belongs, too. Norris was exciting and entertaining as well as athletic and skillful, but let's not get him ahead of many others who would stack up on the "greatest" 154 lb'ers ever... Quote:
Anyone with athleticism and speed, not to mention power like Norris had should trouble Tito, or at least be a risky task. My first reaction is to say that Norris gets there first and makes it count. I just think Tito was more durable, recovered better, and would win it if Norris was to box tentatively with Tito. Tough fight to pick. |

A friend and I were actually debating this fight a few weeks ago, I said I thought Tito would get the KO at some point.. He agreed but said if Norris could fight perfect box and move he'd have a shot.. He would have to mirror his second fight vs Simon Brown to have a chance.. Even if though I still think Tito tracks him down and stops him, to much power in both hands and just relentless pressure all night was Trinidad!!

Sure he had some fundamentals but his only game-plan was to set up the left hook, and he had the stamina and size to do it. However like I said - as soon as someone took his power and left away from him (Jones, De La Hoya, Hopkins) he lacked seriously.
