Take note, these "top contenders" actually have to be willing to face him, I've never seen top contenders so afraid to fight a champion out of fear of getting humiliated.

Hard to say, but for top5, he needs quite a bit of work. Dominate the division for another 5 years or so; he needs to balance those losses out.
Top10? I think he's pretty close to getting there, a few more years on the top would do it for me. Wins over Povetkin (if he finally grows a pair), Fury and some other guys. Maybe a rematch with Haye if he beats aging big brother. |

Unfortunately for Wlad, I don't think there's enough class out there to elavate him to top 5...imo...

Maybe automatically being tied up to a rematch should they win and, also mandatorily having to face the other brother, both to be promoted by K2, puts them off a bit?

He's my number ten right now.
To move up he just needs to continually defeat ranked contenders (of which wach is not). At the moment his legacy is based upon dominance. If he wants to shortcut that he needs a prime dance partner. If haye can beat vitali, a rematch with wlad would be huge. That will boost him a few notches both achievement wise and resume wise. He could also do with one of his victims going on to rule the division after him. In terms of names i'm think adamek, arreola and povetkin. It's hard to tell who'll be a top contender two years down the line. |

1) Wach
2) Povetkin 3) Pulev/Ustinov 4) Perez 5) Wilder 6) Price 7) Fury 9) Boytsov 10) Mitchell If he beats 9 of these guys and he doesn't duck any challenger, then he will be my #3 HW of All-Time. |

Add those guys to the record of any top 10 HW in history and it doesn't effect their position one bit imo. Yet you say that opposition elevates a boarderline top 10 HW to 3rd?

Wlad needs to merely retire and wait 5 years or so. I rate him in the 11-13 range right now. When we have a few years to digest and remember his dominance and better understand his era I will be surprised if he does not creep into the 3-10 range...but 7 or 8 seems about as high as I would excpect him to go.
