Lewis would of still beat him and he beat him so well the first time a rematch wasn't needed. That was one of the best TKO's i ever saw.

Lewis knew why he ducked the rematch that every boxing fan wanted to see.
He knew that he can not beat Vitali so he decided run away.

Vitali by clear UD or late soppage!

You mean "he knew that he can not beat Vitali (a second time) so he decided run away"

Lewis would be more prepared even though he was past it he would win clear decision, he just underestimated Vitali second time he would not!

Lewis was almost better in his rematches.

Lewis would won the rematch like he did the first fight.

Vitali had not the one-punch-power to KO Lewis and not the boxing skills to outpointed Lewis.

Lewis by TKO again.

Lewis retired because he knew he had no chance in the rematch. He would have continued fighting otherwise. The truth is - Vitali retired Lewis.

unique way of retiring someone, letting them rip your eye out.

so is that why nearly every other HW champ retired at 38 or before that age?

or is it because they were just all getting on. well the evidence says the latter, its just you who says no.

If Lewis thought that he could win he would given him a rematch. Why would he retire if he was not afraid of the Klitschkos? Before Vitaly fight he gave lot's of interview where he said he wanted to keep fighting for at least couple of years.

“Lennox promised to give me a rematch. He invited me to come to London to talk person to person. I came, and it was Lennox and his mum. I spoke for about 30-minutes; his mum scanned me from top to bottom. I flew back to Germany and he rang me and said he would not fight - the decision of his mum.”

Are you trying to claim that nearly all the HW champs in history retired because Lennox's mum told them too, rather than because they were getting on? Cant imagine Marciano and co giving in to Mrs Lennox so easily.

which bit of '38 years old. nearly all of them retired by them' didnt you read?

Oh I dont know.

Maybe because he was 38
Maybe he just wasnt that intestested in training hard anymore(as evidenced by his shape against Vitali and his balooning up after his retirement)
Maybe because he had millions in the bank
Maybe because his legacy as one of the ATG heavyweights was secure
Maybe because he wanted to leave as undisputed champion
Maybe because he had just beaten his closest rival by stoppage.

I mean...Im just guessing here.
