Arredondo was no paper chump, either. He wasn't one of history's outstanding titlists, to be sure, but he was respected at the time and was supposed to be nowhere near that easy for Mamba. In fact, I think he was favored to successfully defend?

Very solid performance & W.

Lol, yeah it certainly appeared that way with Vittles stunning all over the ring and holding on for dear life in the sixth!

He was probably planning to keep on ducking Vitali forever, once he couldn't do it anymore, retirement was the only option.
But he already beat him and never came back so no big deal. Its not like losing and promising your fans you'd get your title back and not doing it. Its not like postponing a fight 4 time, retiring to avoid the fight and coming back....is it?

They've been mad for damn near 10 years. Think about that, 10 years of getting up mad. Every Birthday and holiday is a disappointment because TKO6 stands eternal.

It's funny that any time a fighter beats one of the K brothers, the other brother has to come in and fight them instead of a rematch, and somehow that is their "redemption"

I guess you are right:

Ross Purrity and Corrie sanders beat Wladimir and instead of Wald rematching them, his big brother steps in to fight them instead.

Vitali loses to Chris Byrd...... Wladimir steps in and beats him instead of Vitali rematching him

I'm surprised that big brother Vitali didn't have to step in and fight Lamon Brewster after he stopped Wlad.

Klit logic: it works on planet Klitschko!

Yeah, what the hell happened there (w/Brewster)?

Was that during the time Vit was ducking hard hitting Rahman?

Probably. Notice how long it took for Wlad to take the rematch with Brewster as well.

You're being a bitch about it with Vitali Klitschko

He ****ing dominated all of Wlad's losses and the fact is that he was absolutely wiping the floor on Byrd until an unlucky injury.

None of Vitali's resume is dedicated upon what Wladimir did

Wiping the floor with Byrd? The rounds were close with Vitty winning the majority. But he was also being backed up and missed more punches than in any fight before or since. If it was such a blowout than why was the German crowd cheering Byrd? If it was so close why didn't he keep his promise to his fans? Face it, Vittles ducked a rematch with Byrd because he made him look foolish.

I do not saw Vitali´s domintion. Vitali´s punches where missing a lot and Byrd becomes stronger than Vitali quit because of injury.

Byrd won the fight legal TKO win. This win is underrated. Byrd was a very good defensive boxer and Vitali could not handle it.
