Hey, Lewis retired with his health, good for him, but to say the rematch not happening didnt hurt his legacy is dumb.

Lennox retired because he wanted to and could . . . lol. the guy beat every pro he has ever faced and was the champ during one of the high points in the divisions history. Only a small segment fans think it has any impact on his legacy . . . and they are all klit****s

To say it did is.

One foot out the door, he got the job done. It denigrates his prior accomplishments - during the parts of his career that actually mattered historically - because he didn't come back older, fatter, richer, and less motivated to give the same young dude a chance to slay the grey-maned lion? (after failing the first time)

OK.

Default Lewis thought he could take out Vitali the way he did with Grant.

Who else thinks, Lewis thought that Vitali was like an Eastern European version of Michael Grant and that he could take him out early.

It was the longest 23 minutes on Lennox career.

I can think of worse ways to finish your career than bludgeoning you last opponent's face to a TKO in 6 rounds when your the heaviest of you career and semi-retired, especially when your last opponent went on to be one of the dominant forces in your division after you retire.
