Default Wanderlei vs Crocop - Brutal fight

BORKED

Kicked him into next week!
I bet he had a sore head in the morning......i wonder if that took something out of Wanderlei.....some fighters leave so much in the ring and take so much punishment that they never get back their former glory....a piece of them has been taken for ever.
Does anyone think that applies to Wand? He took so much punishment in this fight he may never be the same again....the KO against Henderson musn't have helped either.
Has he been permanently damaged?

Thats a shame.....I like Wanderlei and I dislike Chuck.
If Wand gets knocked out for the 3rd time in a row...he should just retire, even at the age of 30.
Get into training or something.

I disagree... when you consider that his knockouts would have come to Cro-Cop in an open weight fight, Henderson who is a bad ass and holds two pride titles, and then Chuck Liddell who is know for turning out people's lights. I don't think that his losses have ruined him, as he has been knocked out and beaten before. I think that people have started to read his wide punching and counter him off of it. He needs to tighten up his game.

Three losses in a row is never good.... but not so bad when you see who they came from. If he loses against Chuck, he will simply have to work his way back into the mix. He still has two brutal victories over Rampage.

SO much different than the first fight, really shows the improvement of CroCop as a fighter.

In general people need to stop counting guys out so quickly.

Now Cro knows how Silva felt from that sort of kick.

I never knew a yellow card loses you 10% of your purse. That is a serious blow psychologically. Some things in MMA I still disagree with, this is one of them. Not allowing elbows in Pride is another. Making fighters stand up is another.

In theory the yellow card law was great it would encourage fighters to 'fight' more. But the amount of times i saw a fighter get beaten from pillar to post and then get a yellow card was ridiculous, in that situation what could Silva possibly do apart from cover up and defend himself?

He then lost 10% of his purse for that, quite silly and unfair. You'd never see a Japanese fighter get a yellow thats for sure.
I also agree with achilles.....i think people are to quick to write people of after a loss, it think my enquiries are acceptable though after a defeat such as this but generally we do write of a fighter when he loses.

I think this trend is far worse in boxing though, when a fighter loses in boxing people act as if his career is over until he makes another high profile win!

Crocop looked at the top of his game back in 2006...In 2007 , He looked totally disinterested...a bit like in 2004...I hate seeing that guy...the type of guy who shows up to collect a paycheck and who thinks he can annihilate everyone in the blink of an eye.

I don't care about "that" crocop...
I care about the ultra motivated version of this guy...

I'll never trust him again.
He can be lethal & ****ing scary...but there are time when He shouldn't even bother stepping inside the ring...
