Would love to get to meet the sugar man, went to a similar event with calzaghe at Villa Park. Brilliant night , even had enzo and his brother doing Westlife just slightly odd.

Note: Edited this post, due to its offensive nature.
I did not see the reference to the ill children. I still think in general these events are for mugs, unless all the money goes to charity every single time. Last edited by Primadonna Kool; 08-12-2012 at 01:27 PM. |

What he said. Alot of these evenings are generally rip off nights. Pay 100 quid for a shitty 3 course meal I wouldn't give to my dog.. Then pay extra for signed photos with the boxer[s] themselves who are surrounded by goons. Then pay ridiculous prices to win various items that go up for bidding at the end. Stuff like cheap ass robes signed by the boxers which are worth pretty much **** all. And to sum it up. Drinks are usually served at extortionate prices. Events run by cowboys and rip off merchants that rub shoulders with the underworld and attended by wannabe hard men that think they can mix it with the best. Mugs events. |

Yeah because paying £100, to help 2 seriously I'll children and receiving a 3 course meal, aswell as the chance for photographs and Q&A with a living legend is daylight robbery. WHOPPER

Still these boxing dinners, are mugs dinners. All the money should always go to charity. Remember them cunts who where doing these dinners with Sugar Ray Leonard awhile back..? No mention of charity there. |

Yeah I agree totally with PKizzle here, although its great the money is going to ill children, generally the people who go to these events scumy and slovenly. I always feel sorry for Mike Tyson when he has to do these type of events just to get some extra dollar, the people who turn up are massive cunts for the most part.

I agree, there is an online company who arrange these dinners, and then when they fall through fail to return the payment. They are the assholes who make these occaions look bad. The dinner I attended was great, dinner was 1st class got photos etc with Calzaghe and it wasn't rushed. They give you time to speak to the fighter, as mentioned the auctions are a complete joke but other than that had a great time. |

If you pay £100 for a ticket for these things and expect a £100 meal then you are a mug. Its about meeting the boxers and hearing them talk. You want a nice meal? Go to a nice restaurant.
Edit: and why the hell should ex-boxers always give their time up charity? Its a way of making money for them after they've retired. |

And at the tyson one i sat thinking baddest man in the planet! he aint even the baddest man in the room. Even the woman had chib marks on their faces. |

![]() PK. I might go to this, a mug or not as Gaz says i ain't interested in the meal meeting a legend and grabbing a pic and hearing the stories (bar the one with his coach in the car, spare me that Sugar) is worth a ton IMO.
