Default Adamek Fires Main Events and Kathy Duva.

Wow, this is surprising considering how Main Events was largely responsible for his successful cruiser weight career and a pretty good heavyweight run too, making him lots of money in the process, giving him exposure on NBC and keeping him very busy. I wonder what's behind this, who Adamek will fight next and whether Bloodworth will soon be replaced too.

Adamek has been on the decline no? He had a better performance against Chambers (which he should have lost unfortunately) but didn't really show much vrs. Cunningham. But maybe that was because of Cunningham.

Take a few easy fights (like Spilzka) then go up against Haye or Klitschko if he's up for it.

You can argue about the final decision, but the truth is he was highly competitive in both fights. He underwhelmed since he came in as heavy favorite, especially in the last fight. But hey, both fights were pretty entertaining so who gives.

I agree Bloodworth needs to go. I think his style forces Adamek to do things that are unnatural to him. Adamek is a puncher boxer who loves to counter punch and brawl when its called for. He should not be forced to do any thing else, especially focus too much on defence which he's not good at any way . If this change means that Gmitruk may train him, I'd say this will be of benefit to him and however many fights he has left in him.

Both of his adventures with American trainers at LHW with McGirt and HW with Bloodworth have been disasters.

He needs to cash out. Great fighter to watch but he takes a lot of shots and needs to look for the biggest payment before getting out.

Well, I guess he's off the Duva family's Christmas card list.

Come to think of it - no more gifts, period.

He did pretty well with Shields though. Also, I wouldn't exactly call his stint with Bloodworth a disaster. He still made a nice HW run, where only 3 years ago most people were were laughing at him for even thinking about the HW division.

Yes you gotta give Adamek credit for this last run...Chambers, Walker, Cunningham....that's straight up better than either of K2's last 3 opponents. And he was good in both those fight--he shouldn't have been a heavy favorite vrs. Cunningham but Cunningham is routinely underestimated because he only fights top competition so he's never dominant.

That said I feel Adamek's peak was probably the cruiser title. He had good start to his heavy career but I think a decline since the Arreola fight is noticable. Cunningham should know and he thinks Adamek was a stronger opponent at cruiser.

To really please the fans, Adamek should think about a fight with Wlod. Probably tough to make that weight though. A fight with Povetkin would be a great career finisher but that's prolly too risky for both men. I have no interest whatsoever in seeing him in there with Wlad, but I guess that might happen. If he could get a fight with Haye that might be a good career-ender as well (win or lose)...great style clash.

The Spilka fight isn't a bad idea business-wise though....exciting for the fans and easy money for Tomasz.

It may be that Adamek is waiting for Vitali to retire, as fighting the WBC champ is probably the only realistic chance of capturing a heavyweight championship.

Pretty much verbatim.
