[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKKU_qeqogg[/ame], I trained with him for 2 yrs. and got a lot out of it and the best instructor I've ever trained with compared to other instructors that I've had. He makes sure you know what your doing. Pretty good video to check out and for anybody who's interested in training with him, here's the address:

Well there's a lot JKD guys all aorund the US, you wouls just have to find anyone who's teaching it in your area. Whoever you do learn from, make sure your learning the original JKD, because a lot of JKD guys only terach the concepts and the concepts is good to adapt to your training, but your gonna need the block and counters, the footwork, and all the basic things before you can swim. I'm telling you this from experience because I've been threw it. I've been training for 2yrs. now and already at advance level 5. There's 12 levels in all but you only really need 8 for combat purposes. And also make sure you take only the techinques that work, that means if you learn some BJJ, or wrestling, no matter what your interested in. Make sure you learn counters because that's very important to whatever your learning. I hope that helps.

I hope your joking. Because if you trying to prove a point that JKD doesn't work because of a video of some kid that's trying to use JKD and looked alike an idiot(and clearly the video shows that he doesn't know what he's doing) than I might just put in the same category as the kid who thought he knew JKD. |

The bigger guy will always have an advantage, as this video proves I love how the little guy sprawls and tries the single leg, didnt quite work though [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqpXLRlkHk0[/ame]

That video has nothing to do with the discussion....
I will however concede to its entertainment quality. I've seen it dozens of times and it never gets old. |

I like that he was doing spin kicks in that video. If I were to learn a martial art it would have to include spin kicks, and also good throws. I wouldn't use their punching, I'd just use boxing for that

JKD seems pretty cool but I hate those knife attack counters that they teach, I think this video was posted on here but that's what an actual knife attack would be like. |
