I don't think I'd give Napoles a 9+ for his jab, more like an 8/10 - as in, not spectacular, but well operated from experience and natural timing. He still had one of the most educated left hands ever, like Robinson's or better, with his ability to turn it into a hook, or a double or even triple, or alternate on the same hand between hooks and uppercuts.

My favourite jab is probably Gene Tunney's - Jersey Joe's was pretty clever to

Panama Al Brown. Frank Erne had a legendary jab. As did Benny Leonard. For a modern guy I like Winky Wright.

You have to include Holmes, for sure.

Foreman and Liston both had very heavy, powerful jabs. I like Foreman's better.

So many great choices in this thread, but my favorite jabber was Kenny Buchanan. He could throw it at so many different angles, and his adroitness was matched by his accuracy. His jab was truly a thing of beauty!

My favourite also, along with Bob Foster's which was less active but more fearsome.
