Jones turned down a fight. The fact that the card was weak killed it. Had there been a solid co-main, there'd be no real problems. Obviously not an ideal situation, but infinitely better than scrapping a whole card.

In what world did Jones make that call? Last I checked Dana and the Fertita bros. run the UFC. Last I checked there were 20 other fighters on that card, all ready to fight, and it's the promoters fault that none of them were ready to carry a PPV. Jones didn't build a weak card around one fight.

No, but it is his job to fight. How many fights have been cancelled over the past couple of years, and how many times have the co-headliner gone on to fight someone else on the same card?

There are a lot of guys on the undercard that were depending on this event to take place. Jones was going to get paid, so it's not like it would have been for free. But it will be ok for Jones. He'll still get his pay day next month. What about all of these poor fighters with lesser names.

Jones shouldn't be stripped of his title, forced out of the company, or suspended for a while; but he deserves every one of the "fuck you, you selfish cunt" thoughts going through so many people's minds at this moment.

Paying fans get screwed

ALL THE UNDERCARD FIGHTERS who NEED that cash don't get a payday now...saw Charlie Brennemann tweeting Jones his P.O box saying he needs rent now...lol

This was bigger than Jones. And he fucked up. He'll be forever black balled now and you can guarantee if he ever slips up Dana will be all over it.

I think it's up to upper management to make sure fighters get paid, not Jones. What would have happened had Jones and Hendo both been injured? Jones didn't cancel the card.

The card wouldn't have gotten cancelled if not for Jones.

It could have been a card that took a huge hit because of Jones. Instead, now it's a card that's not happening at all because of Zuffa.

I don't disagree with zuffa being to blame.

Sonnen would be pulling a Haye and getting a big check without earning it lol. Don't blame Jones for not wanting to fight him as he looked like garbage in his last two fights and hasn't done anything at 205 lately. Backfired on Dana and zuffa to expect this card not to crumble anyways with the absense of solid matchups. As said before, what if both Jones and Henderson were injured? Sucks we don't see this fight but I put fault on the matchmakers more than anything.
