As a Boxing Fan, Do you Appreciate other Forms of fighting: MMA, K-1, Muay Thai...

I hear a lot of negative talk about MMA by some boxing fans (even though MMA is truer to full fighting than boxing and boxing is a part of MMA)...so what about other fighting forms that are restricted to more of the Striking Arts, like Muay Thai and K-1 {kickboxing}...fans?

How about "respect" at least for each even if you don't watch?

In addition, is there an admittance by those die-hard boxing fans that a boxer can be at a disadvantage when entering the cage/ring against an MMA, K-1, and/or Muay Thai specialist in their arena?

I appreciate kickboxing, muay thai, and taekwondo. I'm not a fan of grappling martial arts such as jiu jitsu.

Yes. It's bizarre that some boxing fans hate combat sports.

Saying MMA is just two guys rolling around is about as ignorant as saying boxing is just two guys punching each other, there's no skill involved.

I'm not saying MMA is for everyone but any true boxing fan should respect it imo.

I appreciate and love all forms of combat sports. I think it is great that MMA is gaining popularity. I will watch and follow both MMA and boxing.

Appreciate 'n respect the other combat forms, though I can't tell one from another -- a little like OZ futball or X sports, but I will watch if I stumble on it clicking the remote at 3 A.M. I'm a hardcore boxing fan.

Definitely agree, though, C, in the cage an elite martial artist should beat a boxer.

I love combat sports and many forms of martial arts like FMA, Silat, Muy Thai, etc.

Boxing is America's contribution to this ancient form.

I love Boxing and Kickboxing and all kind of stand-up combat sports.

But i really cant watch a man punching/kicking a defenseless man on the floor. Thats not me.

I liked the old Pride and K 1 before it became mainstream. UFC today is ok but u won't find me paying for any ppvs or buying tickets
