I go to community college and to go i have to go through a seedy part of a town (lots of gangs) i have a late class that ends at 7:30 and by then it's already dark out, right before you get out of the ghetto part of town i stopped by a mcdonalds/gas station. I got out saw some punk ass kid about 18-21 probably had 30 pounds and 6 inches on me staring at me and my car while i was filling up, I made the mistake of taking my wallet out and he saw i had some cash on me, i walked inside (my buddy was in the car) got some big macs walked out and as soon as i took one step off the curb i got rocked on the side of the head, all my food and drink go flying but my adrenaline was instant, it's almost like i was anticipating it. he was throwing wild haymakers at me calling me shit like... I took a step back threw a jab right in the nose which flung his head back and a right to his throat, he fell down and got up and ran away.. this was all in about 15 seconds..

If i didn't do boxing i don't think i would have been able to take those shots or compose myself to not throw wild shots like him rather to pick my shots. I'm a small guy 5'6" 126. Now it is not exactly a streetfight, it was more of a failed jumping. but anyway, in my opinion boxing is extremely useful. Who knows what else that kid could have done.
Good for you

I'm not being racist but how come a lot of black people who are untrained lean really far back when they are in a fight? they guy was leaning back it looked like he was doing the limbo. I've seen this many many many times...

I dont care what anyone says; if its a street fight I've NO problem kicking a man in the balls or using anything to my advantage. Had enough times when I was in the military where I had to do unorthodox "technique" to keep me alive when I couldnt reach my sidearm or Taser. I was Military police which is where this comes into play..Call me a coward, call me a *****. If I think my life is in any danger its me comin out on top.

When I'm walking through bad parts of town at night, I got my hand in my pocket already grasping my snub-nosed 38 spec revolver. I'm one paranoid ****. Hopefully that'd save me time from having to draw.

Too bad he had to go run somewhere. Once he felt teh jab, I'm sure he had enough sense to know he was out matched and out gunned.

Too bad you drop your food too, what a waste!

While certain types of guns are pretty cheap, carrying a pistol isn't really as necessary as being aware of your surroundings...and staying away from assholes and other degenerates.

Stay safe, study hard, and kick some ass when ****ers come looking for a beating.

Boxing has lot of benefits and one of its benefit is street fighting. Boxing helps us during fighting and a boxer can use his tricks during street fight.

I remember that.
Eating his face after was a little over the top though.
