Firstly apologies to all for starting another thread on this Boxnation show, but despite looking for quite some time and can't seem to find the original thread that was opened on this a few days a go.
I finally got round to watching the first show and was so dismayed by what I saw that I just had to post.
I have no real interest in UFC, I'm a boxing fan through and through, but as long as having it on Boxnation doesn't reduce new boxing content (it is better than constant repeats I suppose!), and by having it on it attracts more subscribers (and thus allows the station to be a success), I'm all for it.
However, I was shocked at the quality of the show.
Firstly the presenter gave just about the most wooden and forced performance I have ever seen, it was embarassing and looked like one of the amateur videos on Youtube , and secondly what was going on with the first 'fighter' they interviewed?!
I don't mean to be insensitive, but if I didn't know any better I'd say he had learning difficulties, it was cringeworthy stuff.
I can't speak for the rest of the show because I gave up about ten minutes in.
I feel Boxnation has gradually improved the quality of its style and presentation over the months, the initial amateurish look has gradually been updated and is definitely heading in the right direction.
The UWC program was not just a step backwards, it was a bloody great leap.
