Default 2 things: WBA middleweight and Henry Wharton!

Firstly; Buncey and Lillis were saying that the WBA(super) champion at middleweight (now Geale) has to fight the WBA regular champion at middleweight champ (currently Golovkin) in order to tidy the title situation up, to be confirmed by 31.12.12.

If you were Geale, would you take the Golovkin fight, or give up your WBA super title and defend the IBF? Thinking about your career?

Secondly; Just watching Henry Wharton vs Nigel Benn on BoxNation, I forgot how tough and how good Wharton was. He mixed it with some of the best, he was very good! Anyone agree?

Wharton was very good, a weaker era and he'd of been world champion. He was very aggressive. He met a quality Eubank, In a way he brought the best out of Chris that had been wanting for a while previous.

As for Geale, I'm not sure what he will do. I don't think Shaw will let him fight Golovkin. Shaw will look to milk the Australian scene for a while i'd think. Maybe fight Soliman next?..

Definitely look to milk the Aussie scene and as Geale is 'super' champ, I'm assuming Golovkin would have to go to Geale's backyard.

Eubank vs Wharton was great.

The Wharton fight where he knocked out Mauro Galvano with one of his classic left hooks ....the guy packed some power in those shots!?
seemed like a down to earth honest bloke too ...

I really liked Wharton, he had an excellent fan base, seemed a down to earth fighter, with a granite chin and dynamite in his fists. But the Benn and Eubank fights were the low points of his career. He seemed to be in awe of both opponents, and did not 'show up' in the two biggest fights of his career.

But I l try not to hold that against him, focusing more on destruction jobs against generally classy Italians!
