I think he got 400k for Sturm. Usually promoter 18 percent, manager 15 percent, trainer 10 percent of the gross. Then tax after that. I heard off a reliable source before geale fought Sturm that his team offered Mundine a 50/50 split if he won. But weather Mundines team will except not sure. If it's about money this is the best option finically for both. No matter what people think this fight will sell big here. Pubs & clubs will $1000-$1400 for main event coverage homes will $50-$60 there is plenty to be made biggest all Australian fight since Mundine v Green. Personally I think Geale stops choc late. Mundine has slid since first fight and Geale has come on. Heaps..

Mundine clearly a better fighter than woods.
Mundine beat Geale..

You are right though, Woods could well KO geale.

Still why should Geale fight his biggest pay day of his life, to get redemption from the one guy who beat him, with an easy sell to the public against a world rated opponent?
Yeah he should just fight another can like he has mostly in his career before getting knocked out by sergio, retiring broke with no titles and no money, remembered as "that guy that mundine beat" Yep that would be better management!
LMFAO

Why would it be the biggest pay day of his life??

Where would the money come from??

He may have made a decent quid as far as boxers in Australia go but to suggest that pay for view would generate more money than Geale could get in the states or Europe is a bit rich

Time for people to get all these over inflated ideas of Aussie Boxing out of your heads, not many people follow it, its a minor sport, therefore sponsors arent interested

We've seen the pulling power of Mundine in the states, he struggled to get paying bums on seats last fight & no big names want to fight him because he is a nobody

Whereas Geale has the world at his feat, a unified world champion, its best he enters the big end of town & stays there, i see him fighting in Vegas, to fight Mundine at the entertainment centre on a wednesday night would be a huge step back

ummm, its so clear you know nothing about boxing that when you start to type dribble you just embarase yourself even more WOR, why even bother, honestly now.

Styles make fights and Geale just dont have the style to get the USA Fan base, belts alone do not give you pulling power. He hasnt fought in Vegas so im not sure WTF your on about.

Both Danny Green and Mundine have made small fortunes from Australian boxing yet you claim its sport thats not profitable in Australia Plenty of fighters have cashed in on Mundine and Greens wealth, the Pole, Tarver, Kessler, just to name a few high profile fighters, why shouldnt Geale cash in on it also? because you say he should not and has greener pastures in USA? Why limit himself to just USA? Why has CUnningham had to fight in Germany over and over again to make money if the big bucks are in Vegas and he had the belts?

You dont seem to put logic into any of your theories champ, best you shut trap and leave the boxing talk upto the big boys and stick to trolling

Supply and demand. Dawson (linear champ) made $600k against Ward. Geale wouldn't get that in the USA. Mundine vs Geale sells big in Oz. Your lack of knowledge of the boxing business is funny. "Feat"
