Default Haye v Vitali NOW?

A year is a long time in boxing. Keeping this away from the general because nobody seems to know anything about boxing in that forum.

After saturdays fight two things stuck out for me that with the amount of times that vitali hit charr he didnt seem to make a dent in him and vitali's footwork seems to have disappeared. What happens if they fight now?

Vitali isn't the force he once was, that much is clear, I think David would stop him these days tbh, he would need too as well, because Vitali still has the ability to outpoint him especially if the fight was held in Germany.

I actually like Haye's chances of winning now. Vitali is ready for the taking and if anyone can do it, then Dave the salesman might just be able to if he follows through with his talk.

I fear for Vitali now against Haye. I think Vitali would be better off retiring than facing him, he has enough money and has never lost legitimately in boxing other than against Lennox.

Did anyone hear the rumours of Haye v Vitali at wembley on PPV?

Had me wondering because sky seem to be Mr Haye's best friend all of a sudden.

I think PPV is doubtful mate, it was Haye that put an end to it, I can't see sky taking that risk.

No chance of the fight being in England then?

Depends on the money, if it was staged at Wembley and could make more money than it being held in Germany there is a chance, its more likely to be in one of Germanys stadiums though.

I said even before the Wlad fight that Haye's best chance of beating a Klitschko would be against Vitali, now I'd actually feel very confident putting cash on Haye if they fought.

Comes off as embarrassing though that Haye only wants Vitali because he's showing his age and declining, giving him the best chance of holding belts and retiring as 'Champion'.

He would also be unbearable once he beat Vitali, popping up on every TV show possible and milking it as if he's just beaten the greatest ever and done the world a favour by ending their 'reign'.

I used to really like Haye. Shame.

Haye partly put an end to Sky PPV but it was more to do with the fact that they couldn't cope with late orders/people not connecting their Sky box to the telephone line. Upshot was that Sky didn't want to look weak again (as a mess up would be pounced upon by the other media channels) so they cancelled PPV boxing.

PPV generates a great amount for the promoters but to be blunt Sky would rather not have a massive PR failure than a few million quid in the bank. The fight may end up on Boxnation if it was held over here.

Haye/Vitali isn't a match up that excites me greatly as it would be a game of cat and mouse. Vitali isn't the force he was but I don't think Haye is as good he thinks he is so I'd say in Germany Vitali edges a points decision.

I want to see the Wladimir Kiltschko vs David Haye rematch..?

David Haye stated post fight, that he would only come out of retirement to face Wladimir Kiltscko.

Vitaili Kiltschko is old and wore out, he would be proving nothing.

Haye would stop this current Vitaili Kiltschko.

But PK, if Haye beats Vitali he then forces the rematch with Wladimir and he would go into the rematch with high confidence, Haye beating Vitaki would be a good day for boxing.

I'm not a fan of Haye but I think he would have a great chance against todays Vitali so there is not a chance of this fight happening now in my opinion.

There is no way Vitali and the people around him would fight Haye with Vitali looking very old, slow and far easier to hit.
