HYPERBARIC CHAMBER

On The Episode 2 Of 24-7 - Chavez jr vs Martinez.

DR ROGER ANDERSON ( Sergio's Chiropractor & Cut man):

''The more Oxygen in the body, The better it does,
The main advantage is the more Oxygen in the blood, So he can maintain better in the later rounds''.

''The Opponents will be strong in the first 8 Rounds and then get a little weaker and weaker and then Sergio and I think the last fight I think he had an 11 Round Knock out. He just gets better in the later rounds''.

Sergio Martinez may have the edge in the later Rounds.

It does help for endurance, yes. But he's probably been doing it since the time he could afford it so he'll look like usual. Hopefully.

Hopefully this fight will end up a decision, I don't wanna see a Round 1 KO and then fight is finished.

I agree with the sparring Martinez does, i think it's re****ed when fighters spar all the time. It's probably one of the main reasons, why most boxers are in general bad health along with all the weight draining etc...

If you are not fighting, there's absolutely no point in sparring hard.

When Muhammad Ali used to us sparring partners to condition his body, it was re****ed and probably contributed to his health deteriorating.

Chavez is not a talented fighter, technically, motor skills wise. He relies on just being strong/bigger than his opponents, and technically simple.

Martinez will win this fight via TKO.

The benefits have been debunked as anything of great significance AFAIK, but some top athletes do still opt to use the hyperbaric chamber (Juan Manuel Marquez swore by them for a time, perhaps still does).

Of course, fighters are not above superstitions about what helps their performance. Look at Marquez and his pee. So as to whether there's real physical benefit who knows, but it certainly has at least a psychosomatic effect of making them "feel" better and increase their confidence.

Ali was probably masochistic, once he was in range and not outside dancing a bit, but close.
All his reflexes seemed to be vanished, no defence to see.

foreman thought dehydrating before the fight was good for your performance.
