Every PPV should have a title fight OR at the very least, a title eliminator. Why am I paying $50 to watch a card with no relevance to any title belts?
No card should rely on just one fight to sell it, and they should book at least three significant fights involving name fighters on each card, with the expectation that they'll lose one of them to injury. UFC 155 is the way to go. That card is STACKED, and a definite PPV buy for a fan. JDS vs Cain Chael vs Forrest (not too enthused about this one tbh) Weidman vs Boetsch Maynard vs Lauzon Belcher vs Okami Plus appearances from Mitrione and Leben. No problem shelling out the money for that. Paying PPV money just for a main event, and then doing it again for another mediocre card three weeks later? Pass.

we like hockey fights and bench clearing brawls, not so much the little guys jumping around like sprites and fairies. But I will say, at least here in Southern Ontario, UFC is so much bigger than boxing. An example, the bar i went to watch the Sexy / Jr. fight had maybe 15 Mexicans, a few South Americans, and maybe 5 white guys, so maybe 25-30 people. Last night's UFC, at the same bar, was standing room only filled with around 300 people.
UFC can't expect, after years of cramming down the violent nature of the sport, to suddenly expect the fans that came because of the brutality, to suddenly appreciate a technical, scientific type match. |

Well...... the guy has always been a clown and his words have promoted MMA. But here he has just crossed the line. He is a company manager and not the company owner. What he has basically said here is I don't care about revenue.
I have no idea why he would say "I don't want your money." who cares what he want's. The Fertitta brothers do want customers money. If he wants to keep his job he should keep that in mind. |

Yeah, that's exactly what was going on last night. Jumping and prancing with no actual fighting. No significant strikes were thrown or landed whatsoever. http://staticmedia.fuel.tv.edgesuite..._821827797.jpg http://103.imagebam.com/download/zH5...videzface0.jpg http://101.imagebam.com/download/Gay...avidezface.jpg http://savemisc.com/threads/images/4...9489f345af.jpg |

Put on fights with smaller men and the crowd boos them unfairly? That's Dana's fault for encouraging the "Just Bleed" mentality. So let's shit on Dana because of a Canadian audience's reaction to a pretty good fight. Oh wait, what's this? Dana tells the uninformed, meathead crowd members who booed to go and fuck themselves because they don't know or appreciate that they're watching a sport, not an event? Let's shit on him for that as well. We'll complain about the "Just Bleed" audience that (apparently) he created before he was even involved with the company. Then we'll turn around and complain again when he attacks the guys who were booing a good fight, and makes the exact same comments about meathead assholes in the audience that we've been making online for years. ![]()

oh everyone just relax. If he wants to critizize his sports fans big deal. Dont try to pretend you individually have forsight into all the mma fans minds and know that this is going to drop ticket sales. You dont. So dont pretend. Stop being a bunch of jealous sissy's over Dana White. He is nothing, dont make it different because you got your individual panties in a knot that he did something your way too much of a pussy to think of doing. Dana is a pussy himself. Dont make something from nothing. I really thought that this was kinda funny. There is no reason to think of it otherwise.

He's an asshole. So what? That's probably why he's making a ton of money. He's basically saying he's not going to lose any sleep over losing an x number of fans. He's right. If you don't like something...don't watch it. Why are people so sensitive? I haven't been crazy about the recent matchups UFC has been dishing out and I imagine it won't improve any time soon considering the unfortunate chain of events. But we have been spoiled; it only makes sense for things to slow down a bit. It'll pick up eventually. As long as Dana puts together great matchups (which he has overall) I don't care what he does; I couldn't care less about the petty things he tells the public. Not every card is going to be spectacular. It's not possible. Am I going to start booing? No, because I don't expect perfection. Yes, there are times when his decision is questionable. For the most part he delivers ideal fights.
I honestly have never been bothered by what White has said. Sometimes he gets on my nerves but I get the same experience among friends and family members. If White gets tossed out of his throne as a result of his making unflattering comments then so be it. In my opinion it will be due to fans being overly sensitive. |

I know you need to spar, and work on your game with a live body, but how these guys always seem to get injured, and miss there paydays completely is beyond me. Extremely competive sparring (I'm assuming how the injury occurs most of the time) = No $, no fame, no chance to win. Making it to fight on fight night = $, possible fame, and a chance to win. I think lately that hasn't been the #1 reason as to why there in such bad circumstances. |

Dana needs to down size his daily line intake...........he's becoming very edgy......don't worry about the fans reaction..... what about his reaction when the decision was announced & his boy Benavidez lost out.......talk about unprofessional putting the belt around mighty mouse shaking his head in disgust.........get off the coke Dana!

They dont care anymore. They never cared about MMA as they would have you believe. Dana has his 5Million in the bank and his house (He never even dreamed of this) , The Fertittas has broke even on the Casino front.

Once again the "Vince McMahon" media-hype has earned him tons more free press and publicity.
UFC markets to the same crowd as the WWE. They WANT the drama and the hype to get ticket sales. Do you guys REALLY think that what Dana does isn't calculated and planned? Look at all the drama and hype between fighters before most events. It is on purpose. It gets interest and buys. It's also why no other competition in MMA comes close to the draws that the UFC gets. |
