Ok for his first fight back after been stopped ? Not a good idea this guy has an 81% KO ratio. I hope khans defense is drastically improved if he wants to take this fight. However most likely he's gonna have the same style as before.

If this is true, Team Khan has to be the stupidest in boxing, it's comically bad matchmaking. Seriously, who thinks this is a good idea? Khan needs to STOP trying to prove his chin, that is a lose-lose proposition, end of story.
Khan, if you or your team are reading this, at the end of the day, despite how it might seem, no one who matters really cares whether you have a good chin, or not, if you get good results. You do not, and I repeat, do not, have to take fights against undefeated fighters with excellent KO ratios to win anyone over, or prove anything. Ultimately, your chin is not as good as you think, or want it to be, and that is ok. Adjust your style to suit that, take sensible fights to get your career back on track and don't take stupid fights like this one where it's more to do with your pride than your career. You are risking losing opportunities for better and bigger fights by taking bizarre matchups like this one. Diego Chavez might end up being your kryponite (again), but chances are you are more talented and can acheive more, so don't waste your chances, they are running out fast. |

I laugh at the days of when Amir Khan was always thought to be ducking punchers, but if they do go with this option, which I doubt they will, it may not be the best move.
I'm judging blindly because I haven't seen this Chaves guy, but anyone with a high knockout ratio after his last defeat may not be a good choice. Maybe they've seen something we haven't? Only looking into Chaves will tell, but even then, he's only an option, so I wouldn't worry about it. Matthysse is another option, and there are probably four others. |

He HAS to fight a guy like this
it's no good putting him back in with featherfists, we know he can beat the Malignaggi of this world He NEEDS to conquer his demons and fight to his strengths sink or swim, i like it |

His demons are having too big balls and thinking he has to prove himself everytime, he did that against Maidana he ticked that box. He is a world class Light-Welterweight if he sticks to boxing which he showed he can do so well, I don't see anything really kicking him in the head to make him realise this as when he gets ko'd he just fights the same way

Chaves' title defence this past week was an absolute joke, I have no idea how the WBA sanctioned it. He was facing a guy with a 12-11-3 record who had been stopped 6 times
. Scored a nice KO over the French fella to win his title though.... [ame]***********.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6sPopqZvBw[/ame] ****ing shit move from Team Khan if true. This guy, despite holding a title, is a nobody yet he's a dangerous puncher as the above clip shows. If Khan beats him he's going to get no credit for it, he'll have just beaten a guy who's KO'd a bunch of stiffs in Argentina. If he loses then his career is as good as over (at world level at least). |

I know the competition in Argentina isn't exactly the best, but he's been knocking out people that are no different to the ones Maidana and Matthysse were. Check him out, he appears to be a vicious puncher.

Don't know what Khan's lot are thinking if there's any truth to this. |
