There's nowhere near enough aussie vs British fights, particularly for the commonwealth title.
But generally the British fighters would be the favourite / a side and the Australians make enough fighting guys from Asia in quite easy fights to risk coming over here and getting bashed up. It's a shame because guys like Alex Leapai could be in good fights against the likes of Chisora, Price and Fury |

Comparatively boxing in Oz is a fringe sport at best. The amateurs are splintered by way of feuding organisations. I think the comment fighters make enough fighting Asians is a bit silly -they certainly dont earn enough to live on and most do not have the financial backing to go overseas let alone live there etc where they would be exposed to better quality sparring, higher quality match making and the potential to team up with better trainers(ie world class trainers).
The concept of having more Brit vs Aussie fights is great. Just not going to happen sadly. And without question(past and present) most times the Brit fighter would be favourite. Sadly from an Aussie perspective what happened recently in the Saunders fight was typical(and i have no question that despite the premature stoppage the result would have been the same but not much incentive for blokes to travel half way across the world and not be given every chance to fight his way out of trouble- certainly no Brit fighter would EVER do the same thing at a similar stage of his career because no need for it) Unless perhaps an Oz based training base is set up( be it in UK or US) the scenario of Aussie fighters failing when they step up and go overseas will continue- but at least they have a crack. Historically some realise the limitations of fighting here and do go o/s to base themselves eg Peden and he was better of for it. The other sad thing is that over the last few years there have been a couple of young promising fighters who do get financial backing early then go to shit because they start thinking their shit doesnt stink. The other side of the coin is someone like Jamie Pittman who was bagged badly for losing to Sturm and called a bum etc-he had a crack and while training also worked 3 jobs to fund his life and dream!! Occasionally there are those that stand up on the international scene despite the limitations of their beginnings. Disappointed that some of them dont put more into the sport and start looking at the bigger picture coz they are too infatuated with their own bullshit, ego and nuthuggers (which is why Geale is so refreshing). As for some the above fights shown- geez. Alot of hate for Harding. He was limited but a tough SOB.As for Lionel Rose even making it anywhere close to fitting an Aussie being bashed- for shame!!!! Great fight. Not a bashing and I thought he won anyway??? |

Maybe
He's a middlweight who loses to a host of Brit's at 160 Yep Afolabi disagrees So really you have one maybe 2 divisions where you have the better single fighter, the other 14-15 divisions though... Geale might be top 5 p4p in the UK, probably not though. Laughable. |

Mundine is junior middle he owns anyone you got deal with it.
I reckon Will Tomlinson beats any UK fighter at 130. I forgot about Afolabi but Green would beat Clevely at 175. I would love to see Kevin Mitchell v Lenny Zappaninga both coming off KO losses |

My mate's fought Geale & Macklin.
Geale won every round against him, I thought he beat Macklin. Didn't really train for either. Geale vs Barker or Murray in the UK would be a decent tear-up. |
