Default How do you throw a step in Straight right rear cross????

Ok so this is a straight right hand that you step in with and that step should give it extra power! You are not leading with a step in jab 1st!

(This is for use against southpaws only otherwise you should lead with a jab most times.)

My question is how is it done do you step land then throw the straight right?

Do you step and throw the punch as you step long before you land?

Do you throw just before you land moments before?

How is it done for max speed n power?

Good question!

I can suggest watching this SRL in this fight:
He does this move quite a lot during the fight, say 2 m : 8 sec , or 2 m : 24 sec

Also, he ducks the Southpaw jab, gets low and steps in with long hooks to the body

IMO against a south paw, you step to your right initially. When you are ready to land the lead straight right, you then swiftly move to the left, putting your foot over his lead foot and throw the straight right as you move forward.

Rigo does that similarly with his straight left against orthodox figthers and has had great success landing it.

Thanks mate im getting a real good feel for it now, its like the push off powers the rotation and steps u forward then you twist your hip a little bit more directly as you land and it all happens fluidly.

Cool!

The level of boxing knowledge on here is amazing!
