if its true, this would be a great test for frampton and would certainly be good experience for the fighter.i like it ,it would make frampton more hungry for the win as he is fighting away !

Martinez is top 10 with the WBC & IBF and holds the European title. He has been competative with world champions and contenders . Its the best fight out there for Carl.

Martinez promotes Kiko now and this fight will definitely not happen. For one, no way will McGuigan and Hearn let Frampton go to Spain and i don't think they'd even take Kiko in Belfast any more because he'll probably hand in another sick note

Kiko seems scared shitless of Frampton, twice cancelling fights with Frampton in the UK and now wants to fight him at home.

Its a shame because i gave Kiko a very good chance of beating Carl when the fight was made originally and i still do. Kiko would be a much sterner test than Molitor who was absolutely awful, it was embarrassing.

Kiko fought Dunne, twice Munroe, Takalani and Martyrosian at road. Noe he has a promoter. It's a nice trip to Alicante anyway.

No way will Hearn let Carl go to Spain, unfortunately.

Martinez already pulled out of four fights with Irishmen. Frampton's past him.

Well they kept Jason Booth till 12 at night before he entered ring. Hours after agreed time, sneaky as they come out there and isn't worth the underhand tactics and risk IMO.

It seems like Martinez never ever fancied the shift in Belfast with Frampton..

That's why he signed a voluntary defense in Belfast.

I can agree with you, the fact Maravillabox signed him change a lot, and probably the injury was not so severe, just a move to go to the bid, but Kiko is ready for Frampton and I'm sure if hearn wins the bid Kiko will not vacates.

Frampton will explode his big fat chickenshit head. Death by murder. KO. Maximum Banjo. FTW.

People do sign for fights and pull out, George Groves IMO never was facing Kenny Anderson in a rematch just took the fight while assessing what was available at a higher level. I think your right, Martinez injury wasn't that bad and it moved the bid and helped him get back home comforts.

I fully expect Frampton on a level playing field to outbox Martinez.

And I can understand it, Frampton looks great, but Kiko is way more seasoned, he already fought Dunne and Takalani before they became world champions, twice Munroe, and never was stopped or barely hurt other than gassed early in his career. He is right now 27, not even in his prime probably, and in Alicante, motivated with his home crowd, a new promoter who is willing to spend money on him, in this scenario, I can see Frampton knocked out. Kiko is not a past prime fighter, people think that because he koed Dunne with 21 yo.
