Default Is Hasim Rahman Top-100 HW in today's division?

I think the answer is "No". Sad to see former HW champ being in such shape. I'm sure 50 y.o. Holyfield would beat him easily today. Hasim should retire, his reflexes, chin, stamina are completely gone. He can barely stand in the ring, he moves like in slow motion. Rahman should've retired 4 years ago

His knees are ****ed, he couldn't even walk down the stairs.

He'd loose to any top250 boxer if he didn't knock him out in the first round.

I love Rahman but he's a club fighter now. He can use his size and power to destroy the dudes he fought before Povetkin (all club fighters) but that's it.

It was a pathetic performance by him and I hope he retires.

If he was before that fight, he sure as hell isn't now.

That was an awful display Saturday.

It's bizarre that an active under 40 year old former unified lineal champ from the second best era ever can't even cut it as a top 100 fighter in this "****test era ever". What gives?

I think he is top 100. Top 80 no...Think about the guys between 80-100 who are fighting their pro fights out of gyms still.

Agreed. I voted "no", I can see him losing to numerous >100 heavies though if he doesn't catch them with a big shot.

You're being fairly loose and fast with under 40 arent you?

Hes 40 next month.

And he was unified champ for all of 11 minutes in the ring.

Hard to gauge the top 100 outside of boxrec. But looking at some of boxrecs top 100s I can name more than a dozen Rahman would easily beat.

Hey guys.........

Audley Harrison is in the top 100. So it Alexander Petkovic. Frans Botha.

I mean.....yeah there are guys inside the bottom of the top 100 that would beat him, Sherwin Williams, Tye Fields, Nicolai Firtha, David Rodriguez, etc, but there are plenty under that plateau that even a one legged Rahman still beats.

His knees/back aint shot either. Looks like a camp injury he refused to report soas NOT to lose his payday. Probably figured he could work his jab a few rounds and catch Potvetkin with some R hands, maybe catch lightning in a bottle. But he aint shot to ****, esp considering who else is in the top 100.

I don't know how anyone can say that with a straight face. He is clearly utterly shot. If he's able to beat anyone in the top 100 again, that's just reveals how bad the other person is, not how 'un-shot' Rahman is.

He's done. He'll never win a meaningful fight again.

He's a glass jawed bum, but I rate him as the #1 contender like the WBA do.

The only way I will believe he went into this Povetkin fight hurt and refusing to cancel so he didn't lose his payday, is if he fought on, got back to 235-245.

But hey, Rahman has fooled me too many times. I'm done at this point. I am proud of his career overall, but disgusted with his performance on Saturday.
