Ty had a lot of talent and probably should of achieved a bit more than he did domestically. Came up under Bernie McFadden and as a kid trained with Richie Rowles, one of the biggest punching am's Australia ever had.

Richie Rowles would of made a great pro. Him and Robbie Peden were always together as amateurs and he represented Australia at the Olympics. He was one of the only amateurs Australia has ever had who could knock a bloke out cold with one punch. Him and Chris Hamilton had some of the greatest fights in the am's, they both knocked each other out.
