What makes me laugh, is when Khan first sought this fight with Marquez, Khan was criticise for picking on a old small fighter that was past his best and was just a stepping stone for Khan.

he's an amazing couter puncher. But at present khan has the foot speed and range to keep the fight at a distance and out box him if he fought how he fought against Kotelnik. And Marquez wouldnt be able to close the distance. H2h Marquez is a differant league to Khan, but at this weight and at this stage in his career, i don't see him out boxing khan. Otherwise why would Marquez reject the fight, and his team say they're not being anyones stepping stone? |

I'm pretty sure I seen a clash of heads in there that caused the cut that went unnoticed. http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/D...N473AQ-lRl.jpg http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/pc/D...h0NlIHF6Wl.jpg Both faces were damaged to be fair. |

Some fans are really are a joke, a fighter wins a fight, he is the next big thing a world beater a future HOF, he loses he is a bum, hype job that cherry picked his way to a belt.
It doesn't happen in any other sport. |

About a year ago people were saying how this was a horrible match up for marquez. Khan isn't just going to get knocked out by one punch. Khan is too big and tall and quick for such a short-arse to counter effectively. If this fight happens I will be at the bookies lumping on Khan, and making a killing.

it actually does between fans. In fact boxing seems to be the only sport where people seem to argue and demand respect from other boxing fans. I'm from England so using football as an example, you support who you support, and yoru irrational about how good they are. This is thought of as normal. But in boxing its ridiculed, supporting a fighter who might not be the best. Technically Mayweather fans unless your from Grand Rapids are glory supporters. |

I'm not so much on about support the home team as such. It more of a case if Real Madrid were to lose a game, they are not hype jobs and overrated. Not just in team sports, If Federer loses a tennis match his career is not over and he not a bum. In boxing that is the way it goes for some fans. Sometimes the margins between victory and defeat are wafer thin. The same fans that were claiming Khan was just picking on Marquez because he was an old small past it fighter, will now be saying Marquez brutally KOs him. |

Nacho/Juan didn't fancy it at that time. Money could not have been the issue, Khan was a title holder, and the fight would be good for Marquez's legacy. |
