Default How good is Donaire's chin?

Many of us have mocked Rigondeaux's clearly fragile mandible so far, but what about Donaire's

It's kinda hard to tell nowadays, because ever since the brutal KO of Montiel, Donaire's opponents seem to be deathly afraid of trading with him or even pushing the fight

When was the last time Nonito was stunned or hurt in a fight? (aside from his one loss in his 2nd pro fight) has he ever been on baby horse legs clinging on for dear life?

I would have to say, in thee higher weights, he's chin has been less tested.

However, he's been whacked by Darchinyan as well a few times and did not show any signs of buckling.

And Vic can punch.

yeah, although you could make an argument that his chin in the lower weights was never truly tested either, because he was fighting smaller guys. Donaire is infamous for ¨beating on midgets¨ after all.

Too bad there's no footage of his one loss, I've read he ended up in the hospital for that one. His opponent must have been a good banger

From what I understand, it was still a close fight against an older, bigger opponent, that could have gone the other way. That's according to the feedback I got on a thread I created last year.

Edit: Donaire appears to be capable of taking a good, solid shot...Though he did bust up a little bit against Mathebula.

Well if you read this interview it sounds as if Nonito got the snot beat of him, it seems the opponent was indeed bigger, even a bit overweight

His chin isn't what I'd be worried about. He seems to swell quite a bit even in fights where he barely gets touched up.

he has a good chin but as the video posted in this thread shows , he aient invincible

though if i take anything away from that footage its that he has an amazing ability to recover (reminds me of the 11th round of barrera morales III)
