Default its been a fun ride but every fighter knows when its over,

i want to thank my trainer and friend Micheal Akkawy who is a great trainer,1 of the best if not the best in Aust and Jeff Fenech who trained me early in my career,my long term corner men
and friends throughout my career especially Billy Hussein David Birchell and Al Akkawy.my friend Johnny Lewis all the guys in NSW boxing authority and Aust boxing community trainers
fighters all the guys that make the sport what it is.The Aussie boxing supporters fans, sky channel and foxsports who showed my fights throughout my career.
i fought the best here from 1997 to now, travelled the world fought the best,i can sleep at night knowing i gave this my best, alot of people call me an overacheiver,i got no prob
with that,i believed in myself and thats my biggest attribute is my self belief and heart i believe and some toughness.
to the future fighters all the best my advice give this your all so when it is done and dusted you kow you gave it your all and you able to live with it Heart and Fire and beleive in yourself.
my 2 most memaroble fights personally obviously my World title fights my 1st against a friend a brother WBA world champion Anthony Mundine in Sydney what a memaroble night ill never forget and my last World title
fight where i suprised alot of people in Germany in a good performance against then WBO world champion Robert Steigliz.
i been lucky ive had many fights of the year candidates over the years loved going to war,a name that springs to mind is Josh Clenshaw when i think of war,all guts mate.repect and
friendship go out to all my opponents and the fans.all my supporters who supported me throughout my career and bought tickets, supporters make a fighter and a fighter gotta please the supporters
back with great fights.thank all my sponsors and you know who you are over the years couldnt have done it without them and sponsors are important part of any fighters career, special thanks to all the fans
coz without bums on seats promoters will not put you on.i guess my style and wars made it easy for TV and fans to enjoy me and believe me i enjoyed being in the thick of it,great feeling
being in that zone a feeling i will miss but we move on.
its been a rollercoaster but its come full circle im content and happy and i move on,best wishes to you all,if you see me around say hello.
best wishes
Nader Hamdan Lionheart.

Hamdan was just another cabdriver in a long line of cab drivers that Mundine fought to spin out his career and fleece the public for their hard earned.

For God's sake, he even admits his fight against Mundine was against a friend and brother - anyone here think either Hamdan or Mundine were trying to hurt each other? Nah, it was just a big pay check for Hamdan and another milking of the public by Mundine.

Hey Nader, why are you called Lionheart? You're not Scottish

He was a grub when on the contender.

He won't be missed.

Yes he was an embarrassment on the contender and yes he was gifted a world title fight against Mundine. He wasn't everyone's cup of tea. Including mine. But Hamden carved out a pretty useful career and always had a red hot go.

If that is what Hamden had to say on his retirement why not post it?
