Consider this, it took Bute 9 title defenses before taking a big challenge and leaving his comfort zone.. Kessler left Denmark for his 1st title defense, unified in his 3rd and travelled to face Calzaghe in his 5th.

I'm not a Bute fan but Kessler is beyond overrated. The man is a good basic fighter, nothing special or different there. Kessler's biggest win is Froch in a tournament he escaped claiming a career ending injury only to return and continue his crusade against cans.

Kessler was schedulue to fight Green at SMW, in may he fought Green at Green's own weight class and that left hook completley killed Allan Green. But i agree Kesslers opposition these last 2 years is been bum after bum, hopefully he takes on Pavlik after he cashed out vs Magee, who has a name here in Denmark, so Kessler is gonna make some good money.

Kessler beat Froch in a close fight. Froch steamrolled an ill prepared Bute.

Until Bute can beat either Kessler or Froch, Kessler<Bute.

Kessler resume also KO1 Bute's resume.

And now that Bute has been clearly beaten, the blatant ducking Kessler, Ward, Dirrel, and Pavlik have done should end.

I replied with saying if he was so great why did it take him around 39 fights to finally step up his competition to world level? People shit on Bute yet Kessler's best win was Andrade almost 40 fights into his career

Not at all! I'm a Bute fan and I respect Mikkel Kessler a lot! I was a huge fan but let's face it, his best days are far behind. What we see now is a shadow of the real Mikkel Kessler and it's like that since the Bouadla fight.
