It will round off what is a poor career legacy wise.

*The only decent HW he fought TKO'd him.
*A quitter.
*Piss poor resume.

If he doesn't fight Haye he will be a ducker too.

How does it tarnish Haye's legacy that he turned Vitali down in the past?

If a 41-year-old titlist chooses to retire and go into politics, like he said he would, numerous times, and doesn't face someone who has elected not to fight him before, who is not his mandatory, and has in his two last fights lost lopsidedly against a champion and retired, and beaten a fringe-contender coming off a lopsided loss in a return, will that tarnish the old titlist's legacy? Uh, no? Not really, I shouldn't think.

Not really.. I think most (not all) people already think VK has a fairly poor resume but rate him quite highly H2H. At this stage I think Haye has a good chance of beating him but earlier in VK's career Haye would have just a punchers chance.

Not much the dude is 41 now.

But if he doesn't fight him he needs to retire, fighting the next bum of the week, will damage his legacy as did his fight with Charr.

Why would it tarnish his legacy.

Haye had his chance of fighting him, Have who have talked a lot while he was a HW but has shown very little.
