What I would worry about with your situation would be the reason why you got hit clean.
If you're already sparring after such a short time of being at a boxing gym, then look into the most basic of mistakes. I'm more than willing to bet you're not keeping a tucked chin, you're panicking too much, losing sight of your opponent (punches), improper head movement and the list goes on. Having solid protective equipment is key for sparring, but don't rush things and know you'll benefit more in every aspect when you focus in the right priority. |

Thanks for the advice, and jdk i rkn your spoton there. Not fully relaxed when sparring, i can feel my shoulders tensing up! I was right about chewing too! Looks like its soup, porridge, and shakes for me today! Shook me up tbh!

Was your mouth open when you got hit? My 2nd time sparring I took a hook clean on the jaw with my mouth wide open. Hurt for a few days after. What I learned from that session: keep mouth closed, chin down.
