Is Amir Khan still training with Ruben Tabares?

What happened to that Backpack Conditioner guy? He wasn't in Hayes corner vs Chisora. Is Amir still with him or did he fire him too?

Virgil insisted that he is in charge of the S&C side of things. Ruben is not in Amir's camp.

You have any proof of this? I do believe you because I read an article where Virgil Hunter dissed strength and conditioning coaches.

Ruben Tabares is no longer Khans S&C. Ruben posted a pic of himself working out in David Hayes gym today on his Twitter.

Tabares has been with Haye for quite a while now.

It wasnt Khans lack of strength or conditioning that lost him the fight against Garcia.

...to be honest though, there isnt a tonne of difference between most properly qualified conditioning coaches.

Its not like there is some secret formula to conditioing one guy knows. Theres 100s of sport science graduates every year, and even more qualified S+C coaches

Fair enough imo, no excuses.

Although i will say Ward has demonstrated stamina issues (froch fight) when not even fighting at a furious pace.

could be problems for Khan if he gasses late he's fucked.

He got on his bike because his hand was hurt. Not because he was tired. Ward's stamina is fine.

I hope he hasn't got Ruben

He looked lean, skinny and weak...

Under Ariza he looks much bigger stronger & more hydrated.

under Tabares 3 weeks before Khan was due in the ring he looked great.. at around 150-151 pounds.. then in them final weeks physically he started to look crap like 2008 Khan.

I noticed that too. He looked in great shape in his training pics but come fight time he looked weaker

No Ruben and Ariza are NOT training him. Ariza confirmed this via twitter and Ruben is in the UK. Amir's camp began a couple of days back.
