remember dibella getting " pwned " by rogan five years ago ?
pretty much everything rogan said turned out to be 100 % false : boxing will not make any more superstars after de la hoya , taylor etc...= pacquiao and mayweather became superstars . and now the likes of broner, canelo etc.. are nearing star status . most boxing techniques are useless in mma = boxing techniques became more prevalent in MMA , people getting KO'd by simple jabs etc... mma will take over , boxing is dying = mma ppv buys and ratings hit a plateau , boxing ratings and PPV are their highest in recent years . MMA will make the next superstars = mma's highest TV rating : a kimbo fight . mma's highest PPV buyrate : a brock lesnar main event . one is a youtube made star, the other is wwe-made . dibella's point : one organization is controlling everything, there is no competition . five years later : no pride, no WEC, no IFL , no strikforce... |

Not quite. His TDD and ability to scramble back to his feet if he is taken down are big part of his game. Offensively he is pretty much pure boxing, though.

I dont get the whole UFC vs boxing debate at all
deep down they are both fight sports and if they stopped antagonizing each other saying boxing is dead or MMA is just fad then maybe they can get cross over imagine if MMA and boxing fans didnt create this stigma where you have to dislike the other sport and put it down constantly, imagine if the two sports pulled in the same audience, just fight fanatics I enjoy both, obviously I have watched boxing longer and given a night with 2 big cards I will watch boxings over UFC but I still enjoy UFC UFC lately however has not been as exciting for me as it was a few yrs ago, Im a casual fan more or less now of UFC |

This interview was in late May 2007. Im pretty sure Floyd had just helped break the PPV record with DLH AND Pacquiao had been in 3 pretty successful PPVs with Erik Morales. Just saying they where already superstars before this.

Rogan repeats whatever his daddy Dana tells him to say. If its trash boxing, its trash boxing. If its talk shit about Bones Jones, he'll do that. Man probably hasn't had an independent thought on MMA in the last 15 years.
