I believe there's 7 or 8 fights on the card with boxers from the UK, Oz, China and HK, Japan and Thailand featuring. They're expecting a sell out and the venue looks immense. Have you been there?

It's a great venture and looks like good opportunities for Aus fighters. Just a little sad for me that it wasn't an Aussie promoter doing this considering Asia Pacific is on our back doorstep. I guess our promoters will just keep doing what they've always done. The same tired old Aussie vs Asian import mismatch shit.

Sure Ippy, I realise it takes a fair bit of capital to establish a venture like this and I shouldnt generalise about Aus promoters. There are so many things that could be done to raise the profile of this sport we love in our country but I'm not seeing it.

It all starts with an idea, and believing in it enough to make it happen. If you know you have something that's going to work but dont have the capital, sell the thing hard to a financial backer.

From the outside in, it's pretty frustrating.

Never been inside but I can see it from my window looks pretty cool. What's the capacity?

Hammond turns up to training camp looking like he's in good shape. Roll on December 11th. The card will be screened live to Australia and around the world. Details to be announced shortly, but fight fans will be happy.

Some class sparring this afternoon between Michael Katsidis and Cameron Hammond. Certainly something that a young pro can only learn from. Looking forward to seeing Mick back in there in 2013 and of course The Hammer is making his pro debut on December 11th.

Been watching cameron in the amateurs and impressed with his speed and power. I think he will go alright . As i said before he does tend to get a bit lazy during his fights. He cant afford to do this in the pros.
