For the first time in years.
I'm getting back into boxing and will be going back to my boxing gym on Monday, I trained at home and have woken up feeling like I've been hit by a train. Arms, shoulders, upper body aching, not injured just aching. Can I train again today or is it better to wait until they're not aching again? Don't want to risk an injury. Thanks.

Mate,I haven't been able to train for more than five or six weeks at a time because of health problems,so I always seem to be starting over, but I would go for no more than three times a week, maybe even twice at the minute.
If I do an upper body weights workout one day,I can go on the bag next day and after a round,I can't even throw a proper jab.Trial and error mate,do what feels right and feel your way back in. And try and get a good stretch afterwards. It won't stop the pain but it will reduce it. Good luck, and remember The Cobra.

Hadn't been in a boxing gym myself for about 1.5 years due to life getting in the way, went again a few weeks ago and have been training twice a week since then (plus of course cycling, since I live in the Netherlands). My condition is already improving rapidly, at first I felt like puking. I'm picking up the pace in a few weeks time, when work slows down.
